Founded by George Morosani in 1976, George's Stor-Mor is the first company to create an official storage facility in Asheville, North Carolina. George first had the idea after spending time in the commercial warehousing industry. In 1996, George's daughter, Elizabeth Morosani, took over the management of George's Stor-Mor. In 2005, Elizabeth accepted a position with the NC Self Storage Association and Andye Woods assumed management of the company with 9 sites across Western North Carolina.
Now, in 2009, the company has grown to encompass 10 separate sites and continues to add new facilities. George's Stor-Mor still retains the same family values that drove the company from the beginning. We take pride in each facility and strive to provide the best for our clients. Customer service is always a priority as well as support with each of the managers taking time to provide for their communities.
George's Stor-Mor is a proud supporter of youth sports programs, Asheville Kiwanis Club, the Chambers of Commerce in both Hendersonville and Asheville, Hendersonville Sheriff and Police Departments, Helpmate, Blue Ridge Literacy Council and many other local non-profit organizations.
