Founded by George Morosani in 1976, George's Stor-Mor is the first company to create an official storage facility in Asheville, North Carolina. George first had the idea after spending time in the commercial warehousing industry. In 1996, George's daughter, Elizabeth Morosani, took over the management of one of the facilities. After a year of on-site management, Elizabeth took over all five. In December of 2005, Elizabeth accepted a position as Executive Director for the NC Self Storage Association and Andye Woods took over as General Manager of the company.
Now, in 2006, the company has grown to encompass nine separate sites and still retains the same family values that drove the company from the beginning. The company takes pride in each facility and strives to provide the best for their clients. Customer service is always a priority as well as support with each of the managers taking time to provide for their communities.
George's Stor-Mor is a proud supporter of the Youth Soccer League, Hendersonville youth baseball, the Chambers of Commerce in both Hendersonville and Asheville, the Junior Chamber of Commerce in Asheville, the Asheville and Hendersonville Police Foundations, Junior Achievement, Pedals for Progress, and many other local non-profit organizations.
